Company Profile

Established in 1989, Orazem & Scalora Engineering, P.A. offers consulting services in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering. Our comprehensive design services cover HVAC, electrical power, plumbing, telecommunications, security, audiovisual, lighting and control, LEED®/sustainable design, mission-critical design, and more for a wide range of projects. Our portfolio includes commercial buildings, tenant interiors, multi-family residential, mixed-use projects, K-12 and higher education facilities, R&D facilities, courthouses, municipal buildings, healthcare, rural utilities, and detention facilities. With a focus on strong client relationships and effective project management, we ensure well-coordinated and efficient designs supervised by an OSE principal from project inception through completion of construction.

Our commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency is embedded in every project. We prioritize creating safe and comfortable environments for students, office workers, residents, and researchers. The satisfaction of our clients, evidenced by repeat projects and referrals, reflects the quality of our services.

At OSE, we produce clear and concise construction documents with thorough technical specifications and well-coordinated drawings. Our office has developed graphical quality standards to ensure that all construction documents are clear and concise. This reduces delays in construction caused by RFIs. OSE utilizes Computer Aided Drafting programs as well as BIM tools to produce our construction documents. Our track record showcases timely project designs, thanks to our size, multi-disciplinary capabilities, and commitment to high quality.

Orazem & Scalora Engineering excels in construction cost estimation and project budget development. Our estimates utilize local cost references and regular communication with subcontractors to ensure accuracy. We have a proven history of delivering projects within budget by updating estimates with new elements and evolving design details.

The principals of the firm are licensed Professional Engineers who have multi-discipline capabilities. At least one principal directs the production of every project, maintaining client contact and personally designing or supervising the design of all systems and improvements. Experience indicates that clients appreciate that they can contact OSE and get a prompt response directly from a principal of the firm.

OSE engineers are licensed to provide MEP engineering services in many states, including Kansas. Our engineers are registered through NCEES and able to obtain licensure in additional states as needed to meet our client’s needs.
